Start a better conversation about your pool water.
A useful water-care request starts with observations and measurements, not a guessed treatment. Whether your pool uses a conventional chlorine setup or a saltwater system, tell the provider what changed and which test results you already have.
American Pool Services connects homeowners with independent providers. The provider confirms scope, price and availability; a request is not a booking.

01
Bring the test history, if you have it.
A recent test report, its date, and a note about recent treatment give a provider more context than “the water looks off.” If there are no records, say so. The builder collects the current appearance and pool system; you can note that test results are available without posting private account information.
02
Explain changes in use and water level.
Mention a recent refill, a change in swimming activity, or a period without regular care. Keep a water-level concern separate from a chemistry concern: frequent topping up does not by itself tell you what treatment is needed. The Mesa guide links to the city’s water-loss and refill resources.
03
Ask what testing and follow-up the quote covers.
Find out whether the quote includes testing, treatment, a follow-up check, and any chemical charges. Ask how results will be communicated and what needs a separate equipment assessment. With a saltwater system, include any displayed message so the provider can discuss it without assuming a particular part has failed.
BEFORE AGREEING TO THE WORK
Questions to ask a provider.
Which readings will you test and explain before recommending work?
Are chemicals and any follow-up tests included in the price?
Could the concern need equipment attention as well as water care?
Should I select water chemistry for a saltwater pool?+
Yes, if that is the help you need. Select saltwater as the system type and describe any test results or displayed equipment messages when you speak with the provider.
Will this builder tell me what chemicals to add?+
No. It prepares a request for review. Treatment depends on measured conditions and the pool setup; the independent provider must assess the work.
